TRIP INFO

THE TRIP

A maximum of 12 participants will embark on a 12-day experience, camping along the breathtaking outskirts of the little Rann of The Kutch in Gujarat, journeying each day to a new village to deliver aid and critical medical care.

With the exception of a night’s stay at Hotel Cama in Ahmedabad, our accommodations will be based on the edge of The Rann Of The Kutch in the garden paradise resort called Rann Riders Resort.

Our camp staff will offer us freshly prepared authentic local cuisine served 3 times a day either at our camp or at scheduled locations on our itinerary. There will, of course, be ample water for all. In addition to our Relief Worker crew, we will have a support vehicle carrying two doctors who will be with us for the totality of the trip.

We have designed our 12-day Gujarat relief mission to create meaningful interactions between our participants and local residents. At the beginning of the journey all participants will be assigned certain responsibilities, based on their life experience and skills, including: helping to organize supplies, volunteering with the medical team, and helping to facilitate the distribution of the supplies.

As we travel to each village to perform various humanitarian programs, participants will help our doctors deliver essential medical care; distribute educational materials to local schools providing with greater learning opportunities.

We will, of course, be traveling through areas of great natural beauty, with ancient villages and old forts, rich in culture and wildlife. As we stop along the way, we will experience and enjoy some of the region’s unique cultural life.
